About the Intensive

ADDA’s Summer Intensive offers an exceptional experience for dancers aged 17 to 25 to immerse themselves in our distinctive training methods and ecosystem philosophy.

The intensive emphasizes both physical and artistic development, featuring classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Horton Technique, Repertoire, Mentoring for dancers and Yoga.

Dancers will train Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Led by our international faculty, this program provides a high-quality, structured learning environment, emphasizing key concepts that foster dynamic growth and accessible knowledge. Each week, a guest artist joins to work with dancers on repertoire, adding unique perspectives and expertise.

Dates

Three-Week Program · June 29 – July 17, 2025

Attend one, two, or three weeks:

Week 1 — June 29th to July 4th
Week 2 — July 6th to July 10th
Week 3 — July 13th to July 17th

Each week will feature a different REPERTOIRE.

Schedule & Classes

Train daily from 9 AM to 4 PM, beginning with technical classes and continuing with an inspiring repertoire session. Each week features Ballet, Contemporary & Improvisation, Horton Technique, Yoga, and Repertoire with Guest Artists.

The structure is consistent across Weeks 1, 2, and 3 — with a different Guest Artist bringing new perspectives to the Repertoire each week.

Choreographic Repertoire

Luigi Sardone Week 1 Félix Landerer & Company Repertoire Luigi Sardone

This workshop offers an in-depth experience of Félix Landerer’s unique movement language.

Movement quality: Explore continuous flow, grounded dynamics, and the interplay of weight, suspension, and impulse.

Repertory practice: Learn excerpts from Landerer’s works, focusing on precision, stamina, and group awareness.

Artistic presence: Develop the ability to communicate emotion and intensity without narrative, through pure physicality.

Sebastien Mari Week 3 Jiří Kylián Repertoire Sebastien Mari

This 5-day workshop is an intensive journey into two of Jiří Kylián’s most influential works.

Bella Figura: Train sensitivity, breath, and movement fluidity. Learn to embody both fragility and strength with precision and authenticity.

Whereabouts Unknown: Challenge your limits through complex spatial tasks, fragmentation, and real-time decision-making. Develop adaptability, risk-taking, and group awareness.

What you will gain:

  • Direct experience with two contrasting masterpieces.
  • Stronger and more versatile technique.
  • Deeper stage presence and the ability to connect movement, space, and intention.
  • Practical tools to elevate your artistry to the next level.

Location

The Intensive takes place at ADDA Studios in Barcelona, offering 500 m² of spacious facilities designed for rehearsal, creation, and experimentation.

Beyond classes, participants can explore Barcelona’s vibrant culture and enjoy an enriching summer experience.
